BitCero presents new design for Common Utilities Website

Resized Image

Our Creative Genius of Design, Eduardo Cortés (aka BitCero) has just released a new design for his Website dedicated to Common Utilities module!

http://rmcommon.com/en/

The Common Utilities module offers an excellent base for creating new modules, thanks to its improved components and very beautiful design. Create modules that integrate fully with each other and the system, with a very slight learning curve.

If you develop modules for XOOPS, you've already covered 90% of the way.

Eduardo is also working on porting the Common Utilities to our next version of XOOPS that is currently being developed on GitHub - you can see the progress and more details here

Visit Eduardo on his GitHub account, fork his modules and help him in making his awesome work even faster available on XOOPS!!!

XOOPS on GitHub: Let's Get involved!

Resized Image

GitHub became "THE" tool of Open Source development!

It makes development, as well as collaboration with other developers, so much fun!

There are tons of tools that contribute to the Eco-system of GitHub and make our lives so much easier:

- you can test your code automatically with tools like Scrutinizer https://scrutinizer-ci.com/
- check your TODO items with https://todofy.org/
- continuous integration with Travis CI https://travis-ci.org/
- write documentation with GitBook: https://www.gitbook.com

and so many more: https://github.com/integrations

It is a lot of fun, and therefore we would like to invite all Xoopsers to create an account on GitHub (if you don't have one yet), and then let us know, so you can join us at our main GitHub XOOPS location:

https://github.com/XOOPS

Please note that we have several repositories on GitHub:

Not sure if XOOPS is still up to the challenge for the modern Web development and if you should get involved?

XOOPS developers and designers are always surprising us with the awesome Websites they are able to develop with XOOPS, like this one:

http://itgenergy.com.mx/

There is a LOT of happening in the world of XOOPS, and more is coming!

1) XOOPS 2.5.8 has been released, and it's PHP 7 compatible:

https://xoops.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=6759

3) Our Roadmap for XOOPS 2.6.0 is also available, and we're hard at work on implementing it:
https://github.com/XOOPS/XoopsCore/labels/roadmap

4) More and more tutorials are coming to GitBook Repository:
https://www.gitbook.com/@xoops/

and all Xoopsers can collaborate on creating new ones, and contribute, like Kevin is doing right now with the "Kaotik Module Tutorial":
https://github.com/XoopsDocs/kaotik-module-tutorial

So let's get started! Please join us on GitHub, and let's bring the "Magic of XOOPS" back :)

Exam/Assessment Module for XOOPS 2.5.8 and PHP 7

Resized Image

Resized Image

This module enables you to create questions, answers and group them all together to create an Exam/Assessment.

Resized Image

It was originally created under the name "Nivelamento" by our dear friend Marcello Brandão from Brazil, known in the XOOPS community as "suico" or "marcellobr", who unfortunately passed away several years ago

I've refreshed it a little bit for XOOPS 2.5.8 and PHP 7, and hopefully we'll get few members from the community who will help us with further improvement of this module.

There are also several other Test/Quiz/Exam modules that could be actually merged together to create something really cool!

Development: Please help us with the development, you can fork this module on GitHub:

New module wgXPiwik

Dear Xoopsers

I would like to present my latest module wgXPiwik:
This Xoops module implementes Piwik for your XOOPS website.

- Piwik is included in the module
- Installing Piwik can be started from module, but you can't admin Piwik itself (create user, admin user rights,...) via this module. You have to use Piwik Admin GUI.
- You can provide Piwik Charts/Widgets via iframe on user site. As Piwik function 'logme' is used, therefore no separate login for your users is necessary.
- The permissions for XOOPS User you can set per group in the module
- Tracking will be done via a block. Therefore you can activate tracking only for specific modules, all modules or only the Start-page.
