Obituaries module updated
Hello XOOPSERS,
I came back after a long absence (for several reasons) to share together a new update to my module: Obituaries
With the precious contributions of Trabis (http://www.xuups.com) I could successfully update the Obituaries module, and have added a new block: “We Will Remember Them “ a block to display our fallen and who have also passed away.
The block contains a random obituaries (pictures are available)

As always, as the first thing in each newsletter we wanted to express our gratitude to all of you who have donated money to XOOPS Foundation! We truly appreciate your trust and support!
This month was especially busy for Wishcraft! He not only got married, but also created new XOOPS Modules, and updated several of his older modules: X-Forum 4.11, X-Reaggregator 2.15, X-Invites 1.11, Robot Manager (Spider Module) - 1.01, xTRANSAM,, Multisite 1.20. Simon, congratulations on your marriage, and thank you for everything that you do for XOOPS!!!!
Highlights of the last month:
- XOOPS Innovation Award - for people who create something very unique and innovative for XOOPS. This time the award goes to Mustafa Metin (_metemet_) from Turkey for his work on MyQuiz.
- XOOPSer of the Month Award: is given to XOOPS members who show extraordinary dedication to XOOPS, and go the extra mile for XOOPS. This month, we would like to recognize Erol Konik (aph3x) for his work on the work on XOOPS Theme Gallery, and for all his beautiful themes for XOOPS.
- XOOPS Nordic redesigned
- Mobile Computing & XOOPS - Tested OK
- XOOPS moved to a new server
Summary
Web Show Media Player v.71 Released
The WebShow module for XOOPS wraps the myLinks directory around the Jeroen Wijering Media Player 3.16 to catalog and play Flash media from a single file url, a directory, podcast feeds, streams and embed sharing sites.
Usage:
-Webmasters: Display many types of media with one player. Create custom players with colors that change with the theme and superimpose your logo. Add music bars to your site. Use playlists to display pre, mid and post roll advertisements. Create custom blocks using embed codes generated by the module. Want to play some media files but not display the catalog? Hide the module in the main menu and use WebShow's media, players and blocks in stealth mode.
-Indie Musicians and Record Labels: Catalog, play and distribute your music. Control access with View and Download permission settings. Generate album playlists with images. Syndicate your site using webfeeds and social bookmarking.
-Educators: Display your lesson in full HTML with image slides, audio and video. Add accessibilty with full screen video, large player controls, second audio program and timed text captions.
-Graphic Artists: Display your art using animated slide shows with music. Display Flash shockwave animations.
-Podcasters: WebShow is a podcast aggregator that will cache and parse webfeeds then display the feed's text and play the enclosed media. WebShow is also has a feed generator that will filter a directory of media files and then generate and syndicate a webfeed.
-Individuals: Install xoops on a local LAMP server (wamp, xamp, etc) and use WebShow to manage and play your local media files. Use WebShow's embed features to collect and display your favorite clips from media sharing sites. WebShow will automatically fetch your favorite podcast feed updates.
Features:
Media Directory module with index, category, top ten and single view pages.
Category Menu, Billboard (spotlight), Play It, Media Links and Rollover blocks
Embed plugins for over 20 different sharing sites.
Display text and media from podcast feeds.
Custom player appearance, controls and behavior settings.
Display selectable contents for catalog and media pages, including full html text body.
Info Box displays Social Bookmark (addThis), embed codes, category info and the AJAX rating and report forms.
Group permissions for submit, modify, view and download.
Auto publish and expire.
Shared Server friendly:
User's media is stored externally. Users may only submit links to their media.
There is no media uploader. Files must be uploaded using ftp.

X-Forum 4.11
X-Forum is a completely extensible forum module for XOOPS, this is the complete stable release of the first version. It does require Frameworks 1.20 or later. Designed for XOOPS 2.3 and earlier version, it was written in response to problems with earlier forum titles, that had in some cases installation issues. With a broad range of options. X-Forum is a great solution to your forum requirements, complete with RSS Features and image management.
It will utilise a wide range of options and allow your community to discuss issues, raise topic and solution. Complete with .htaccess example and SEO with a medium URL.
With X-Forum you can have all the convenience of the modular newbb path without the result. Based on CBB with a sound environment that even your grandma can use, I know mine does this is solid stuff coming directly to you under GNU Licenses.
Complete with Easy Path SEO Guide and help in the preference, you can even with some simple SQL Injections transfer your old CBB 2.x or 3.x over to X-Forum with ease.
In later version we will be updating more the the templates to give it a nice evenly rounded abstraction without that old box XOOPS look from just static templates for you to build from.

Win64 another take on Vista_K
Win64 is a 3 columns fixed width theme for XOOPS which is actually another take on the Vista_K theme i did a while back.
Completely recoded, theme was done with modern browsers in mind meaning that it won't display correctly on IE6 or older, has been tested on IE7 and 8, Firefox(windows and mac), Safari (mac).
The small windows logo under the header actually functions a bit like the start button in Windows where here opens a login box for non-users and a user menu for registered users.
Thanks to trabis who pointed in the right direction with a bit of coding which made theme is also available for XOOPS users

X-Reaggregator 2.15
X-Re-aggregator 2.15 based on XoopsHeadlines includes a nice feature for Re-aggregating your RSS Feeds into your community from other sources, it includes a .htaccess SEO as well as an RSS Cache and RSS Snooping by Setting in your preferences.This version has a few new features, you can group the mashables and RSS feeds into tabbed categories and the mashables have keyword filter for RSS Item selection.
There has been a couple of bug fixes (The Name bug in the mashables has been fixed as well as a couple of form errors - these where the only known bugs).
Or any other form of RDF or RSS Feeds, it will also parse into the core of the system for dynamic feed maintenance and collaboration methods with the multisite module.
