Catads 1.53.3 RC1
This update fixes category permissions which are now respected by RSS, blocks, searches and the Xoops user-profile. SEO is also improved with dynamically generated meta tags.
The search form now correctly requires a key-word entry to minimise server load and a number of other minor issues have been addressed. These include some missing icons and an admin display problem with IE.
Unfortunately, despite my best efforts the URL re-writing feature still refuses to work, although I have retained the option in this RC, just in case someone wants to debug it!.
Changes:
- Blocks, RSS, search and profile all respect category permissions.
- Meta description tag and keywords are now generated dynamically.
- Admin ad-listing now shows the latest ads first by default.

XooFoo.org offered a TV channel
To propose to the international community a unique place to view videos and documentation on XOOPS, XooFoo.org opened the site TV.XooFoo
In this space, we combine the videos posted on Youtube, Screenr, dailymotion, etc.
Using the Tag module and MyTube, allows you to facilitate your search to find the video you want.
We already have over 130 videos in various languages, and have yet to add much - so thank you for your patience and possible malfunction, or rank for this new website.
Also, the module Planet we brought together in a wire news publications of the major Xoops websites support and websites related to CMS in general.
If you post videos, thank you communicate through the contact form so that we can add them in the database for the happiness of our large and active community.

Xoosla Modules Development Prelaunch
Xoosla Modules, formally known as the WF-Modules will be re-launching its development, website and support for all its modules and will continue the work for the Move to Blue.
We currently are looking for people to offer their help and assistance with development and day to day running of the website and forum.
So if you would like to help out with the following: Moderators, graphic artists, theme developers and other developers that posses the following skills. I.e. php/js/mootools etc.
Please feel free to visit out forums and join up. I’m currently in the process of testing all the Xoosla modules to see if they work on the latest versions of Xoops.
Once the testing is complete these will be uploaded to our development area Xoosla Module Development SVN and http://code.google.com/p/xoosla-modules/downloads/list" rel="noopener external" title="">Xoosla Modules Downloads.
The main site is still currently under development and a news statement will be made on its completion.
Please help us iron out some of the problem due to the newer releases of Xoops and to help get us back on the road again.

WOX (World of XOOPS) Newsletter # 32 (May 2010)
Welcome to the May 2010 issue of WOX (World of XOOPS) Newsletter - (see here previous versions)
As always, as the first thing in each newsletter we wanted to express our gratitude to all of you who have donated money to XOOPS Foundation! We truly appreciate your trust and support!
Is April we received the sad news that Dutch court dismisses our claims against Herko Coomans. They didn't say that we were wrong in our claims, but only that our XOOPS Foundation didn't show the court that it was the right party to sue. While we're evaluating a possible appeal, our work on XOOPS goes forward. Most importantly we have released our 2009 XOOPS Annual Report so you can see that we keep our financials in a transparent and correct fashion. Also Eduardo Cortés released his cool module framework: RMCommon Utilities.
Highlights of the last month:
- RMCommon Utilities 2 and MyWords 2 (Alpha)
- Sad news for XOOPS Community: Dutch court dismisses our claims against Herko Coomans
- 2009 XOOPS Annual Report
- XOOPS Innovation Award - for people who create something very unique and innovative for XOOPS. This time the award goes to Eduardo Cortés (BitC3R0), from Mexico, for his innovative work on the RMCommon Utilities 2 and MyWords 2 This is a second "XOOPS Innovation Award " for Eduardo!!
- XOOPSer of the Month Award: is given to XOOPS members who show extraordinary dedication to XOOPS, and go the extra mile for XOOPS. This month, it goes to Aitor Uskola (Aitor) from Spain for his continues support on XOOPS Spain and his series of XOOPS Videos in Spanish.
