There were a few bugs in these files when I released the versions 1.1. I apologize for this, but that's the nature of software production. Thanks to everyone for your helpful comments. If you donwloaded these files before about 19:00 GMT on 2002.9.18, then these files contained a problem with the submit file function, which has since been fixed. You can download a new version of these files here. --The GiantSpider.

One bug that I found that you might want to change....

in the submit.php, you might want to change this

$mytree = new XoopsTree($xoopsDB->prefix("mybooks_cat"),"cid","pid"); to this

$mytree = new XoopsTree($xoopsDB->prefix("gsdownloads_cat"),"cid","pid");

It was pulling from the mybooks_cat table.

Just thought you should know.

Yes, this review module certainly looks interesting, I will definitely have to give that a spin. I've been looking for a good review module.

When I created this, I wasn't really sure what should be in a review module. Let me know if it's missing something, and I will see what I can do to add it to the mod.

Something that you might want to consider adding is the ability to approve or delete submitted downloads. Right now you have to edit the record by record id. Which is kinda tough. One thing that it isn't doing is uploading the file for some reason. Not sure why yet... Just a couple bugs that I noticed.

You can approve or deny uploads by activating the "waiting downloads" block. Also the uploads function seems to be working on my server. Let me know your details, and I'll see what I can do.

Doh! Sorry didn't know about the blocks. It still seems that its not transferring the file or recording the filesize and such. Im running Win2kAdvServ. IIS5.0, MySQL Latest version of PHP

Just thought you should know. You have got something very good going here. Just trying to help out! The only way that I noticed that is that I just happened to have the mybooks mod installed. If I wouldn't have, I'm not sure what kind of error it would have given me. Great work though!

If you upload two times the same file, without waiting for approval, it says "No file has been selected" on the second time... which is "unappropriate"...

I noticed that. I need to code in a better error message. Basically, you are trying to upload the same file and copy over another file. It won't let you do this, but it doesn't tell you what the error is. I will note this and fix it in the next version.

After installing the myBooks module through the XOOPS admin, database tables were not named appropriately in the database. All tables were created without the XOOPS prefix for the table name. Example; instead of the table xoops_myBooks_cat being created it was created as myBooks_cat (no XOOPS prefix). Every table was missing the prefix of xoops.

I even manually installed the sql file and the tables were still not named with the XOOPS prefix naming convention. I had to manually rename all the tables that mybooks accessed to fix the problem.

This took care of the majority of the install except I found that there are two tables that appear to be missing from the sql filel. xoops_myBooks_broken and xoops_myBooks_mod.

could you email me a complete sql file or tell me if there is an update including these tables.
