XOOPS: Xoops.org Website Upgraded During The Past Weekend

During the past weekend, the http://www.xoops.org website has been upgraded in the following areas:
PHP upgraded to latest 5.2.5 version.
Forum module has been upgraded to latest CBB 3.08.
Xoops Wiki module has been installed to serve as XOOPS Project documentation section.
Some bugfixes and code cleaning up.

The upgrade is not completed yet. Please be aware that the site will be closed for further update in case necessary.

The comments are owned by the author. We aren't responsible for their content.

I hope so as well, because there are a few comments on the last few articles that should get the attention of this community. Without the comments block being displayed on the home page, it is likely that many people will miss some information...

I agree with Dave_L too, however I do think there should be a 'Whats New' section which does have the latest posts and comments block.

I agree too. That there be a page available with latest comments and lates forum posts. If latest comments disappears it's going to be extra hard if not impossible to find information of comments placed in older posts.

I'm not saying that the recent posts and comments blocks should be removed entirely from the site. But they shouldn't be on the front page, where they're "in the face" of visitors and can give them a bad impression of XOOPS.

As an end user I am totally agree with Dave_L, please, if XOOPS users need support there is a link for it already.

Ditto congratulations on the upgrade, expecially with such a large volume of data.

Unfortunately, like ianez, I get blank-page on pressing 'reply' in the forum (Firefox).

Of lesser importance, I don't know if anyone else agrees, but I find the user names at the top of forum posts are now harder to read?. A little darker grey (like here in comments for example) would help IMHO. Also, is there no 'quote' button in CBB anymore?.

The quote button in CBB is on the reply form.

The code is still present in templates but is commented out by default.

I "uncomment" it on my own sites as that was the single most numerous comment I received after switching to xoops.

~~I think you'll find that it's just the General XOOPS.org forums that are out of action. The XOOPS Community Support forums seem to be working fine...~~

scrub that. None of it seems to be doing what it should.

I found that 'fast reply' works. But I can't edit the post.

The post I made here was in the Community Support Forum. I still got a blank page on 'reply' or 'edit'.

There should be a BIG notice posted about this problem until it's fixed.

Same posting problems for me. This had to be fixed BEFORE going online again. No comment from the officials?

For me x.o. doesn't seem to be faster. Opening a thread takes up to 17 seconds and opening this form took 2.5 seconds while sitting on DSL 6000. Pretty slow I think.
