I´m trying to install on my test site, but I just receive a error message...
Looking at .sql file (wordpress\sql\mysql.sql) there´s just one table being created... is that correct?

There was a bug preventing fresh installation (OK for update).

The download package has been updated.
Or you could download a bugfix package from:http://xoopsforge.com/uploads/wordpress/wpdiff.zip

It's true and correct that there is only one table in mysql.sql. WordPress takes responsibility for the other tables.

How does this differ from the Wordpress Me module of nobunobu? Is it possible to upgrade from that module? Thanks

There should be no prob for WP Me single user mode.

One thing you need make clear, JP encoding conversion. WP Me dev team or nobunobu has some specific solutions.

Hi,

When trying to access the administrator-pages, I see a blank screen and this error:


Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /[path]/modules/wordpress/admin/index.php on line 32

When trying to access the 'front-end' i get this error:


Fatal error: Undefined class name 'xoopslocal' in /[path]/modules/wordpress/include/xoops-wp.php on line 87

(i already installed the bugfix)

Can anyone give me an idea of what is/i did wrong?

The interface option does not seem to work? No matter which I choose - XOOPS or WordPress, the result is the same. I assume that if I choose XOOPS the module will work within my XOOPS page with the XOOPS theme, but it turns out that with either choice, a new page pops up when I click on Wordpress on the main menu.

I am having the same problem. Altough when I first installed it the page displayed inside my XOOPS install but when I closed my browser and logged back in the page opened in a new window.

During installation, there's this error that repeats itself many many times:

however, it does not seem to have any effect ... ??

For style switch, perhaps I should have made the config description more clear:
the style you set from admin area is the "default" style for a visitor.
Means, the $xoopsModuleConfig['style'] is used before the visitor takes any operation. Once he switchs to the other style, the $_GET['style'] or $_COOKIE['style'] will be used.

How to switch to the other style?
Take a look at the right-bottom corner of your WP page, there is a link with title of "switch to WordPress Style", or inversely.

For XOOPS 2.0* users, plz check wordpress/include/xoops-wp.php
I have no time to make it at this moment.

Hi thanx. I've never used wordpress before, so I'm taking my time to check it out. One thing about the integration - it'd be much better if the module were more integrated with xoops. For example, to submit an article currently you'd need to get out of the XOOPS theme. It'd be nice if this is not the case so that it'd work more like the other articles modules in XOOPS where you can submit articles within the center block itself.

Im a Wordpress blogger who convertd to XOOPS CMS, then tried Mambo CMS then Drupal CMS and now back to Xoops. Personally I find the Drupal adminsitartion alot cleaner than XOOPs but do acknowledge that Drupal and Mambo are lacking some serious blogging modules.

So back to XOOPs because frankly it had a wordpress ME module that I installed with no issues and started using. Then Wordpress for XOOPS 1.5.1.3 came out and I thought - "EXCELLENT" but no matter how much I tried or made the changes/hacks I could not get it to work. So its back to WordPress ME.
But good on you mate for getting it converted, I'll probably check back later once all the bugs are ironed out. :)

thanks for your suggestion to make more integration.

I had been maintaining wordpress module for XOOPS Chinese version, which was originated from nobunobu's module.
The current integration or plugin style, making a balance between WP & Xoops, is a favorible way according to my experiences.

For a fully integrated blog/article module, I have been working on an "advanced" article management module, which is fully based on XOOPS framework and library.
Xoops framework is so excellent that I would like to develop new modules with it but for other software, I will only "plug in", which makes the "integration" easier and leaves the development to its origianl developers

HI, this isn't exactly right, but I think it's getting there and maybe someone else can help further -- if you put this at the very top of the page of xoops-wp.php, before anything else:

<?php
include("../../mainfile.php");
include(XOOPS_ROOT_PATH."/header.php");
$xoopsOption['show_rblock'] = 1;
?>

and this at the very end:

<?php
include(XOOPS_ROOT_PATH."/footer.php");
?>

the blog appears with the rest of the XOOPS stuff-- menus, header and footer, but it's not within the center, it's below. I don't know how to get it to be within.

what's the reason you add XOOPS header/footer to xoops-wp.php?

The XOOPS style has been implemented in templates/wordpress/
You just need to click the link right on the right-bottom of your blog page (with alert "switch to XOOPS style").

xoops-wp.php is a config/function library file, you should not add/modify anything except the line:

Thanks so much phppp, I had no idea what to do and was just guessing. Now I realize that the problem I had was I was using a theme I had made for my other wordpress blog. When I used the classic theme it works the way you describe. I'm so happy with this module!

HI, obviously I'm not an expert but in the absence of other help -- in the bottom right-hand corner of the main page of the blog is the footer with "powered by wordpress" etc. at the end, after rss, is the name of your blog or site and a kind of diagonal arrow symbol. Clicking that makes the blog go into its own window. If the blog is already in its own window, under "meta" the last listing is the name of the site with the same symbol -- clicking it makes you go back "into" the xoops. I hope this helps.

I have the same problem. I have WP_BLOG_CHARSET defaulted to 0 but the user is taken to Wordpress theme (outside Xoops). He has to manually click at the bottom to change it to "http://www.webspeech.net/modules/wordpress/?style=x

How do I:
Default all users, including the visitors to see wordpress within xoops?

my sidebar displays strange content when used outside of the wordpress module pages. for example, from my main page, my archives list in the sidebar block displays year instead of month, and the hack i added for iTunesSpy doesn't display any content at all. everything works fine when i navigate to the blog. it didn't work before i added the itunesspy hack either, so no, i didn't mess it up.

Any suggestions?
