xHelp don't send some notifications

Hi!

I've a Xoops 2.0.18 with xHelp 0.78 module, with Microsoft AD validation.

This intranet have working fine from 5 years ago, but since some days, xHelp don't send the users notifications, however, it send the mail to the technicians succesfully.

Its means: when a user open a ticket, don't received any mail, but the admin receive all the notifications. If a user post a comment, the admin receive a notifications by mail, but if the technician post a coment, change the status... the user never receive anything.

I've tried in another server, with another apache server.

I've restore from a backup the folders: /class, /include and /modules/xhelp

Can anyone help me?

What has changed? Did anybody make any changes to XOOPS files or its configuration? Did you changed PHP version?

Things don't stop working suddenly if nothing has changed, so we need to know first what has changed...

I am the only one sysadmin, and I haven't change anything.

The onething is that some days ago, the web server has a failure due a electrical issue.

Because that, I have restore class, xhelp and include directory (may be that some files were corrups)

Did you repaired the database? I would start with that.

And I would update to the latest version of XOOPS...

I've repaired all the tables on the DB. It find some errors in xoopsnotificationes (and in another 4), and MySQL fixit succesfully. However, I've restart the service, and It doesn't work

I know that is a old version. I am working in a 2.56 version, but I need this by now.

Can I debug all the notificatin send method?

It's very unusual that all the technicians and admins notifications works fine, but not the users notifications.

Maybe the database is corrupted? Maybe some permissions have changed?

It's really hard to tell you anything without looking at the code and the database.

Check the User group and compare it to the other groups, if they are identical. Run comparison of files with the original version of XOOPS.

And you can try to compare the database with your backup to see what, if anything, has changed.

I have never seen a working version of xHelp 0.78 anywhere.
As it sits, there are notification issues and at least 1 security issue that needs addressed.
The last version I attempted to use that module with was xoops 2.4.5. and xhelp 0.78. No go.

Trabis fixed some issues, but there are still few open.

The xHelp 0.81 Beta 1 is based on the work by Trabis.

Minimum XOOPS: 2.5.5

Xhelp is a very old module.
Trabis did some great attempts to fix bugs but still there are some bugs.
unfortunately we didnt have many developers like Trabis in Xoops. Most developers had been envolved in some useless projects for creating content modules like news, download or gallery.
Xhelp is a big module and needs many time to be bug free.
