I'd like to recommend XOOPS seriously consider Git. I believe Git's API can give us the ability to write a few 'easy' modules to be able to let users add bug reports and feature requests more easily. If I'm right, and I might not be, we should be able to generate reports/requests from the XOOPS site without requiring XOOPS users to create a Sourceforge account - which they really don't need unless they're a developer.
Allure has an API too, so it's better than what we had before but still not quite up to Git's API.
Git's API should allow us to be able to 'creatively' use XOOPS groups to display blocks with recent Git activity, open issues, etc. for people in the "developer" groups (core, module, theme, etc) without providing unnecessarily complicated information to users who don't have a need to know. We'd need to check into this further before switching ( in other words - don't take my word for it before switching
)
Just my $0.02 ...
