Best module for writing reviews

Dear Xoopers.

I need to create a website where the
1. members can write product reviews
2. viewers can rate the articles
3. write there own comment or experience on the product/services

I don't believe AMS can do all. I am ok to customise the code a little bit but not a lot.

Can anybody suggest the modules to choose from?

Andy M started working on a module like this, but it never graduated from Alpha version. It was AM Reviews. I think, it was a good start.

But somebody would have to finish it....

I've updated this module to XOOPS 2.5.5 Admin GUI and you can download it from SourceForge SVN

However, I did not add any new functionality, i.e. it is still an Alpha version, and there are several things missing, e.g. users can not submit reviews, only the Admin. I also don't know if there are any potential security issues, as this is a module from 2007.

I believe you can use the News module since users can submit their own articles there which can be rated and commented.

WFDownloads, on xoops.org renamed to 'repository' and in use, has also a review possibility which works separately from the xoops comments.
Unfortunately WFdownloads hasn't been updated for some time.
TDMDownloads would be the best option. Clone this TDMdownload module first. Then you need to enhance the cloned version by adding the review code from WFdownloads into it. I think then you will have a nice review module.

News module i think.
You only need some hack and theme especially for review website.

i am using myReview module on my current website. its working fine but has a very limited functionality.

Can someone point me to the code for latest news module? this can save sometime.

At the moment I'm on a revamp of my website. This is about what it will look like ... not final ... but yea ... http://www.ocaholic.ch/htdocs/
Our core business is reviewing computer components. On the new version I'll use the Publisher Module and News Module.
