smartpartner or alternative on xoops 2.5.4

Hi,
just wondering if smartpartner is working on xoops 2.5.4,
and in case which version..
or if there's any similar alternative.

Smartpartner 2.0 runs smoothly on one of my xoops 2.5.2 sites. So I guess it works on 2.5.4 as well !

Be careful : Smartpartner2 needs a framework (Smart... something) wich does not support PHP 5.3+

This needs the smartobjects framework. However that has not been developed in a number of years. The original author of those are developing elsewhere now.

You should look into something like the "partners" module that is now included in the basic module pack. That may be a similar module. Maybe Mamba or someone else that knows better will pipe in.

Working for me smartpartner module ( modified ) on Xoops 2.5.5.
Refreshed version based on smartpartner 1.4 - "blue move" and works without smartobjects Framework.

Excellent news!

I was almost done with the conversion myself (there are still bugs there), which was based on the 2.0 version, but didn't have the time yet to remove the dependency on SmartObject, so your development is a great addition!

I've added your and my code as branches to XOOPS SVN, so we can compare and consolidate the code, and once done, move it to the trunk as version 2.02

As always, we invited the whole XOOPS community to contribute to the development by:

- testing and fixing bugs
- providing new features
- writing documentation
- donating money to cover our server cost

Ok but what happened to "Offers" in smartpartners?
It worked as a NICE COUPON OFFER option in blocks tied to a smart partner.

And what happened to the "Scrolling Partners Block" it was a nice feature to showcase businesses using a business card size image scrolling in a block across a left block on the front page.

The original one worked great until the upgrade to PHP Version 5.3.19.
Is there now another way for business to offer a coupon in a block tied to his business? As in the original SmartPartner?
