Testing the XOOPS 2.5 Basic Module Pack - Beta 1 can be sometimes frustrating, if you have to install and uninstall the modules again and again, and you have to do it individually one by one.

Normally the option to select bunch of modules and install/unistall them at once should be a standard feature, but because we are not adding new features to XOOPS Core, I've decided to create a module that would do it for me.

Fortunately, we already have the feature in the XOOPS Installer when we're installing XOOPS for the first time. During the installation process XOOPS presents you with PM, Profile, and Protector modules, and you can choose which ones, if any, you want to install.

So I took the code from there and have made a module out of it: ModuleInstaller.

You can download the module from SourceForge SVN

You'll also need the updated ModuleAdmin class

Please test it and report bugs or improvement suggestions here.

In a file /modules/moduleinstaller/language/english/help/help.html there is an error. The link on admin should be /modules/moduleinstaller/admin/index.php

And at you /modules/installer/admin/index.php

Hi Mamba, a big thanks for this.
I am only proceeding very slowly but all seems to be working as it should, it has definitely made starting out with Xoops much easier.
I did have a bit of a concern when I thought my admin control panel home page seemed to break template with some icons dropping after install, this seems to have corrected without any intervention.

Thanks, I'll fix that.

The whole module has to be cleaned up - it was basically taken away from the Installer, and therefore has stuff that is related to Installer and should be removed.

But the module works
