I recently installed the latest version of xoops. No upgrade, fresh install. Only the system blocks are showing in the blocks admin section. The only way to alter the blocks showing or not showing on the homepage is to go into groups permissions and click on the block link then alter the block information. Then the block shows up on the home page but it still doesn't show up in the blocks section on the admin side. None of the blocks for modules shows up.

I am having a problem similar to dannie's. I cloned a site and the copy has all the system and existing custom blocks working and listed in the blocks list. But no new blocks show up in the admin side.

Thank you fdeconiac for the link. I downloaded it but there is no new modules/system/templates/blocks/system_block_login.html so I think the answer must lie elsewhere.

Any other leads would be very much appreciated.

Sorry that was relating to an additional issue. But there is no system/modules/templates/blocks in the upgrade.

Thank you so much for that link. I feel like such a noob! I hadn't set the page filter at the top of the page to allow me to see the blocks in other pages. That's great.

However, I still have the problem with the login block not displaying on the user side although I can see it in the admin side. (I have it set to visible.)

Should I start another thread for this or can anyone help me with this here please?

Hi

I made sure the filters are set to show all types for each category and still only system blocks are showing. Also new problem, I created a custom block and even though it is showing in the blocks admin, it isn't showing on the public side.

mysql 5.029
xoops 5.2.1

Went back to 5.2.0 and suddenly the blocks admin is working properly. I don't have a clue what happened.
