How to make Book's Index

Hi!
I have tested many content module, but I didn't found a way to make a books index. I mean having a page, containing headings with links to the relevant page in the book.
For example I have a book of 500 pages, I want to make index entries, so that any one can reach easily to the required page. Is it possible in any module? Is it possible in xoops?

Check the module "article" I wrote two years ago.
The module is hard to debug though.

Thanks for your reply, but I tested it already, I didn't find any such option in it. Is it there? How?
