News 1.64 and no. of article on one page

Hi.
Didn't come up with a better subject on this post.

My question is about when I choose the total of articles to be shown. 5, 10, 15 and so on.

I only want to show one article. When a new article has been posted the old one should disapear. Can I somehow edit some file and put 1 there? like 1, 5, 10 and so one.

Have you though of using a spotlight?

I havent had time to look at it, but wouldn't it just be to change the template? (although it is probably more efficient to change the underlying query I assume)

Haven't tried any spotlight module. I will check that. I also looked in the template for news, but didn't find anything. Don't know if I was looking in the right place.
