I tried modifying the banner code to display a 728 x 90 banner. The html modification does not seem to work.

If a simple modification code can 1) modify the banner I can use, this will be the most preferable option. However, if it can't be done, than the only option 2 would be to remove the banner code and replace it with an image.

So what is possible 1) or 2) ?

Thanks for your help when given.

XOOPS has a standard banner system. See admin - banners.
The displaying of a banner is a question of the insertion of a tag in theme.html or one of the theme files, which is common in most themes.
The display and position is set by rules in the style files of the theme. Look out for selectors with or containing the name logo or banner.
What theme are you using?

Thanks for your assistance in understanding how the banner system works. I will see if I can modify the settings from there.

There is a mod for managing ads spots its called rw-banner. Hope someone can pick-it up and improve it for the community.
