Upgrade to XOOPS 2.4.2 from XOOPS 2.0.17

Hi all,
I am running a website with a lot of data and 12+ modules. I am currently using XOOPS 2.1.17 and I want to upgrade to XOOPS 2.4.2 Can some one suggest with responsibility what steps I should take?

Yes, trabis reply was made to my query at that time, but I didn't upgraded. Now I will have to do this.
I am using following modules.
My Tabs
Smart Object
Smart Section (6 hacks)
Xoops Care
Wf Downloads
Smart Media
Xc Gallery
Xf GuestBook

So any suggestion?

Those work ok through their latest version :

This one has to be replaced

Smartsection should work ok, I think 2.13 is the better than 2.14.
I'm still using Version 2.1 RC 2 (2006-05-30)

I have upgraded one site recently from 2.0.17(actually icms 1.0) to 2.4.2 and I only had a problem with lifetype module(fixed by adding smarty_dir define)

Heres the modules I have installed:

mytabs
defacer(installed after upg to replace extra block posistions)
xlanguage(installed after upg to replace multi language)
myinviter(working only after upgrading)

protector(installed after upgrading)
xoopstube
cbb(newbb)
yougurt
mypoints
extcal
mycomments
smartsection
myalbum


Anyway, if you have problems you can always ask for help.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but Trabis, do you have a working version of Lifetype? This would be such a useful module for the community to have access to. The versions out there (as far as I've been able to find) need so much hacking that they're barely useful at all, and certainly not to non-expert coders. If you have a working version, please can you release it to the community?

I'm not administrating the site. lifetype was installed some weeks ago and is not being used by the users. Apparently it works, the admin did not report me bugs.
The version is this one:

And I edited class/bootstrap.php
