Hi guys,

I was thinking. Would there be an intereset in a full Twitter Module?
A module that allows you to do everything you can also do on Twitter.com, but then on your own website for you and your visitors.

Let me know your thoughts, ok?

You mean run a twitter-like service from one's XOOPS site, or make calls to twitter via one's own XOOPS site?

Make calls to Twitter from one's own XOOPS site I mean. Post, delete, add friendships, follow, unfollow, change your twitter settings, that sort of stuff.

Is it fair to say that after apr. 160 views there is no interest in such a module?

If you could bring twitter like functionality to xoops, that would be a thing!

How do you see this? I mean.. what part of Twitter would be interesting for XOOPS. I mean, why not just intergrate Twitter into XOOPS?

Organizers of large events often have need to keep various people abreast of action 'on the ground' as it were.
While the use of walkietalkies is common in professionally staffed events, there are places where the use of 2 way radios are restricted through the need for licensing or cost. Cell phones, pcs, pdas using sms, web, mobile web, instant message, or other messaging systems are the perfect solution to this.

I often attend events where various participants in different locations need to update each other on what's happening at any of a number of given locations. These updates would ideally be sent in to a group based system and re-distributed to other members of that group.
Why not use twitter? In a nutshell, privacy. It'd be nice to have this functionality in as private a 'space' as possible.
