I have been getting the site running with the forums and other modules, the whole time under the admin login. Now that I have everything the way I wanted it I figured I should get a user account created. When I log out of the admin account everything still appears there, but soon as I click the "Register Now" button, the page redirects to ...profile/register.php but the page is completely blank and nothing loads.

I have tried using the default theme and replacing the ..modules/profile folder from the original install files, but to no avail. I put the site in debug mode, but once I log out of admin and click that link, I don't get anymore debug pop-ups.

Please help!

Go to groups permissions and see that anonymous has access to the profile module.

Yeah I figured that may be it because when I was first setting up the groups I unchecked that, but soon as I saw it was going to a blank page that was the first thing I gave access to again. Currently anonymous users have full module access and block access, just no admin rights.

Could there be a database entry somewhere that isn't updating to show they have rights again?

To update everyone, I uninstalled everything and nuked my database, then reinstalled from clean files. After transferring my themes and modules over, I got a blank page when trying to add a category to my gallery module, and also still get a blank page when I try to register a new user.

This could be related to the Profile included in the Security Patch, before we took it out, as there were incompatibility issues.

Download the original Profile from here, and overwrite your Profile in /modules/profile

Hi,

I also have exactly the same issue, just a blank page displays when clicking on register. I tried changing the PRofiles folder with the one you reccomended, once uploaded tried the register buttin again but this time got an error message on line 31. Do you think I should wipe the site and install 2.4??

Which error?
Did you run the file check (see release notes)?

2.4 is still only for testing.
