Dear Developers,

Here is a very small but very important message for all of you.

Since you would have noted that since Facebook is growing more and more and websites are loosing audiences due to their limitted capabilities and less interaction with facebook.

So Its just the time that we should start making XOOPS more facebook user friendly so that facebook users could be brought out to our sites.

Interactive modules with sharing capabilities with facebook would be the first step in this challange.

I hope someone could better explain this then i did.

I just hate facebook, orkut, hi5 and any other social network. The problem is not the platforms, they are just great. My problem is with people, to many friends, to many happiness, to many false positives.

Anyway,
I like real sites, with real data. If I can keep away from third party services, I will. I like being unique, just like I like my site data to be unique and not more of the same.

My not humble opinion.

You are both right.
I know the feeling Trabis. Some old friends are friends on facebook, but why are it old friends - there must be a reason

But aamjad2001 are right. Facebook are popular and if users has to choose a CMS-system, they can have a priority that says something about facebook/twitter/linkedin etc.

But the words go fast.

Trabis... you should make a Facebook page for your site instead, and have a fan box on your site, similar to the one at http://xoopsnordic.org/ (right side).

There are pages with thousands of fans and as it is today, when someone find someone they know, people are curious what they are fan of, (unless they are fan of everything)... then perhaps they want to check it out... perhaps they become a fan... perhaps they have someone checking up on them, repeating the whole process.... ;)

It's free and Facebook is really crowded :)

It creates false expectatives... doesn´t help it.

Anyway, if use the search, can find similar questions like this...

Completely agree with you, Trabis, Shitbook, Shitkut,ShitHi5... sucks! We´re living in a fantasy world with them... but somebody is winning a lot of money with personal data...

It doesen't matter what you think as millions of people use it daily, and will continue to use it... you can't compete... so why not take a little advantage of it? as i said, it's free, takes about 5 minutes and it cant't hurt... :)

today i read on many spanish newspapers than U.S.A. goverment don´t want forces uses Shitebook, Shitteer & similars...

Millions of people uses daily & millions of people haven´t got anything to food... if "these companies" could help in something more like move a millions of people like a common mind or flock of sheep to sell some goods, then they can impress me, meanwhile those millions can share their lives with everybody.

To be sincerous, people with too much freetime & people with many interests on it, pure business, no more.

Take 5 minutes to help children, it can´t hurt, believe me

True, but not the topic here... :)

Well, suit yourself.. if you hate it for some reason, don't use it... I will continue to use it, along with the other millions of people with too much freetime...

Actually, yesterday i found a girl i went to school with 25 years ago on facebook, so we shared some memories and had a chat... nice.. :) Without Facebook i would probably never hear from her again...
