Still trying to figure out this problem for the past 3 months now after upgrading cbb and xoops.

forum topic page 1

forum topic last page

there are suppose to be postings on the last few pages. but all of them are missing. I don't know why.

I tried to sync the forum. but it says "Got error 134 from storage engine".

I turn on the debug inline so you can see.

can anyone help?

Which version of XOOPS were you using when you upgraded CBB?

There was a problem with 2.3.x prior to 2.3.2b where updating or synching the module caused lost posts. From the checks I made the posts were lost permanently.

The problem was solved with the 2.3.2b update, but that won't help if you updated or synched the Forums before then.

for that site you see. I done a fresh installation of the new xoops. and installed cbb 3.08
and ported it over.

I check the forum postings in the sql database and all the postings are still intact. just that its not displaying somehow.

On the main live site, the forum is displaying as it is and I dare not to touch anything after the upgrade to 3.08. However there was a problem with the administration. I lost my administrative power particularly to the forum like what i posted here problem still unsolved.

It was upgraded from newbb 1.15 to cbb 3.08

I maintain a consistent update of xoops. from one version to another.

I think, it's a data mismatch, i.e. your messages ( those older than the first two) are having a different topic Id. The Table Topic (or whatever it is called) has the counter of 1586 messages. But when XOOPS is going to find the individual message in the "message table", it cannot find any (except those first two) because they have a different Topic ID.

You would need to go into phpMyAdmin to check the tables and see what TopicID those missing messages have - I guess, it's not 838.

Then you would have to replace the TopicID with that value.

OK, that's bb_posts. Do you find the post_id also in bb_posts_text?
What is the result of this query in phpMyAdmin?
SELECT p.*, t.* FROM bb_posts pbb_posts_text t WHERE p.topic_id=3701 AND p.post_id t.post_id AND p.approved 1 ORDER BY p.post_id ASC LIMIT 010
