dear friend, XOOPS is best viewed in a resolution 922 and much more, some themes are shown in full screen howhever your resolution, and most others no, i advice you to change your screen resolution and make it at least 1024*768
go to your desktop, right click and go to properties then choose display settings and from monitor : enlarge the view to 1024
the road of success is always under construction

Do you mean this website (XOOPS.org)? That is indeed best viewed with a width of 1000 or more.
If you want it for your own site, there are themes that accomodate that.

It is possible as that's how fixed-width themes are made.

Have a look in your theme's style.css and see if there's a "width" setting. Fixed-width themes will generally have the width set in pixels, variable-width themes as a %age.

I suggest that you go for a fixed-width of about 760px.

You may need to adjust the left and right column widths as well (again in style.css) because if they are too wide then they will dominate. Indeed, you will probably want to use only one of these columns.

For FireFox exists a plugin Stylish, where you can permantly override some CSS settings and thus influence the look of websites. If you are viewing a tableless theme, you could even change a three column to a two column theme.
