None of the Templates work

Hi all,

None of the templates work on the xoops.org site???

When i try to download the new templates the files are not valid they are corrupt?

Am I missing something??

Please help

Have you an example of a download link?
If you are downloading from Sourceforge, it may help to select another downloadmirror if your zip is not complete.

which version of XOOPS you are using with which theme?

...themes and templates is two different things

theme is the whole layout of your XOOPS website - look for themes here
https://xoops.org/modules/extgallery/
- download your favorite
extract the theme to your root/themes folder... then choose it in admin panel..preferences


templates is the templates of the modules installed example system templates, news templates..

These are supposed to have template combined with theme.

hi,

You should read this topic about Morphogenesis themes. Some core files have to be modified.

And if you use XOOPS 2.3, new files are available here (Hack XOOPS Core 2.3.0 Final for Mor.Pho.GEN.e.sis)

Your link is not for the download of a theme!
Anyway, when you select divers and then eg Xorange, then the middle icon (box with arrow) on the bottom row is for download and lead to:
http://www.xoops4noobs.fr/uploads/themes/xoops_thm_Xorange.zip
which downloads perfect.

just a thought.......

If we're talking about "Themes with Templates" then were talking about themes which have additional system templates for "site closed", "site redirect", etc.

These templates won't work unless they are uploaded to /modules/system/templates to over write that standard ones (yes, I know there are other methods ) and "Check templates for updates" has been set to "yes"......

The templates won't work simply by uploading them with the theme into the /themes folder.
