How do I define a specific size for a block?

Normally this is dependent on the contentsize and the theme and css files.
Which size did you want for which block?

I'm referring to in general.

Lets say I have want to add to blocks to a page. Each block will have 1 pic per block. the pics are of different sizes. How would I guaranty the blocks take up the same amount of space so that everything "lines up"?
