there are several modules and system i need to upgrade.
I didn't keep track of XOOPS versions and where to find the download files.

so to be safe, i hope I can get some guide here.

I am using XOOPS 2.0.16 and cbb/newbb 1.15

my server is moving to php5 so I need to upgrade to XOOPS 2.0.18.1 also.

where can i find the files for upgrade 2.0.16 to 2.0.18.1 ?

and the versioning of cbb is confusing. there are version 4, 3 etc etc
so what is the latest version for the cbb that is compatible for 2.0.18.1 ?
can the cbb upgraded to the latest cbb ?

If i am doing upgrade, should I upgrade the system 1st, or the module 1st ? '

I done my research in xoops.org . the more i read the more i got lost.

You need to download the full package (see link on homepage) and follow the instructions.

The latest stable version is 3.08. You will also need Framworks 1.22 and xoopseditors 1.21. All three are available from phppp's site (search for him - the link to xoopsforge is in his sig).

v4 is still beta.

Upload Frameworks and xoopseditors as follows:

xoops_root/Frameworks
xoops_root/class/xoopseditor

Delete your modules/newbb folder (DON'T deactivate or uninstall it!) and upload the new module's files in its place. Login as admin and update the module. All your forums and posts will be retained.

It doesn't matter really. I think I'd do the core upgrade first, after having backed up my database, of course
