OK, maybe this time I won't get banned by Protector. That still needs to be fixed.

I'm working on a XOOPS install and one of the requirements is that some of the registration fields need to be static, such as time zone since it will only be geared at users in one time zone.

My guess is the easiest way to do this would be to change the fields so that they are invisible and hold the values....

However I've tried to trace all the objects and functions and am not having much luck.

As near as I can tell register.php and register_forms.php are the two files where everything is called but I don't understand all the arguments, nor do I know where the objects and functions are defined or if they are commented completely there.

The last two days I've been fighting with Protector to let me back on to XOOPS.org even so I'm trying to make up for lot time.

Please??? Anyone???

Setting the standard timezone is done within your admin area.
Users who register will get that timezone, unless they change the timesetting themselve within their userprofile.

At least that is what I know/think....

Which other fields you want to make static?
See also FAQ:

It is a nice guideline.
