XHLD Cron, RSS Aggregating,

Question, I used to have RSSC Headline and center module on my website, but now all of a sudden it doesn't work anymore. So I moved on to XHLD again, but I can't get Cron to work, to remove cache / refetch the feeds.

Any ideas how to do this?

And why in earth are there no really good RSS Aggregation modules :S ?! RSS have been around for such a long time, Joomla and what not all have lots of RSS Aggregators, but XOOPS have none that work.

what about the Planet module? that has been a great RSS mod in my experience....

Doesn't work with the latest XOOPS version and it it's really old.

did you also install the Frameworks package? It needs that to work...I have it working here on several latest 2.0.17 sites...

Hmm, good point, lemme try and install that.

Oh the thing about not working. It doesn't show up in the XOOPS module administration. That's the not working part.

I would say it is well designed and coded thus no need of frequent update instead of saying it is old.

I got planet working, but how in earth is this module designed to work? It simply grabs every article from the feed. That's ok, but does it automatically aggregate? Or do I need to manually fetch the feed every time?

How can I show the latest articles per site, in a block. Instead of setting the block to show 10, in latest published, or random mode?

1. Does Planet automatically fetch new articles?
2. Could you in some way change the amount of items published on the planet index page? For let's say only 1 latest article per site? So that other sites have views as well. Instead of 30 new articles from just one site.
