How can registered users create and choose their own groups?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if this is possible?

Ideally, I would like registered users to be able to create new user groups, and join or leave other groups at will. Kind of like a little site called Facebook... :)

I agree with skenow posted 2007/6/29 18:35 - It would be much to dangerous to do ... You could be banned from your own website in a heartbeat. For that reason I am even going to remove the instruction so it will not be assumed an appropiate answer to your question.

I would strongly recommend NOT taking this approach. In fact, I will go so far as to say - Do not ever allow this for anyone accept a webmaster or site administrator.

Allowing registered users access to Group admin gives them the ability to elevate themselves to any level they wish, including webmaster!

The closest thing to what you are asking is the Buddyfriends module
