I can't really figure out how I can set RSSC to feed new headlines every day, or every few hours.

The module is quite fast, compared to XHLD. But I can't figure out how to auto feed it.

And what is the Simple headline featurea anyway ?

I don't think that that feature is fully active yet in the module. What the developer is doing with the current and previous versions is setting up the module now with all of the features (functional or not) that will be in the module by the final version.

A new version of the module is available 0.51. I haven't tested it yet.

There are two simple headline references in RSS Center. One is the link that shows up in the submenu and the individual pages. If you click it, you'll be able to read the feeds by source. Clicking the link will also auto update all of the feeds.

The other simple headline feature is two blocks associated with the module. They appear to be kind of redundant since both display the same headlines viewable in the Latest RSS Feed block. You can see a sample of all of the RSS Center blocks in action here:

You may need to make sure that you fill out the "Headline Order" option for each feed, or nothing will show up in Simple Headline.

I use rsscenter and its a great module.

Once you set up the feeds, you have to go to

COMMAND MANAGMENT

Create Config File

Test to execute bin/refresh.php

Do a execute bin/refresh.php to grab new headlines

or

I set up a cron job that does this all for me on my server.
Setting a cron job will pull the data at whatever times you set it to do this.

Hope that can help.
