New xstreamer module support?

Has anyone taken over development of the xstreamer module? I managed to download it only yesterday, and now it's no longer available from the original developer.

I have found a couple of quirks in it but nothing I can't live with. So far, I don't know enough to fix them myself, else I would do so (with 2 full-time jobs, I find myself hard-pressed to concentrate when studying code developed elsewhere, as you can imagine...).

Nope no one has taken it over, but there are other options, not many and some still beta or no longer supported.

Webshow - Very cool module, still in beta and based upon the weblinks module <-- a lot of potential and still being developed.

Smart Media - Developed by the Smart Factory, however it seems to be a dead project recently, well since the middle of 2005

Mymedia - From the wolfactory (wolfpackclan), I don't know if this is still an active or not, you'd have to check this out, but it looks ok from the front end, not tested admin on it.

One note on Xstreamer, it doesn't work properly for internet explorer users, it won't work at all in my ie. and the dev never wanted to support it.
Kind Regards.

At first I had also problems with xstreamer, but by turning of Gzip compression on my site this was solved.

You can see it here :http://www.amevita.eu/modules/xstreamer/

It would be a shame if no-one could take the mantle of this module over... although I understand that they may have to sort out a new license for the player code.
