I posted this a while ago on the comments for the mod but now realize that wasn't really the right place...

Anyway, I am using https://xoops.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=3013 and all the usernames start with "Xo.". See http://68.48.55.94:27015/modules/mediawiki/index.php?title=Special:Recentchanges&days=30 for example.

Any idea how to fix this? It wasn't in user.php that I could find.

You need to do a file text search for "Xo." to locate where it is being prefixed onto names, (in the files that make up the module). I use Linux so I have a "Search for Files" thingy. If I remember, Windows has a "Find in files" thingy.

windows "find in files" is a real pain.also you cant replace a "word" in all files.

i suggest you to use another Editor
What applications can you recommend to support my web building?

Stupid me... I forgot about finding in files because my server (on the same network as me) uses Samba for editing server files. In other words the find files didn't mesh so I stopped using it. lol

Well the find files on the server itself worked; in case anyone else was wondering, it's in LocalSettings.php, one of the first commands. Blanking it to "" seems to work.

Thanks for reminding me about that.
