Hello everyone,

I am in the process of building an article directory with XOOPS. Yesterday I had my individual article category pages looking good but today when I went to click on them I got a blank page!

I did make a few changes to some of the settings last night but I didn't think they were settings that would have anything to do with this issue. And to be honest, I can't remember what all I changed. And I can't seem to figure out how to get it back to where I had it. It's probably a very simple setting but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is.

So if any of you XOOPS pros can fix this small issue for me I'll be glad to donate a 20 to your Paypal account. If anyone is interested please PM me.

Thanks!
Brandon

I know you are offering to pay someone to help but have you visited the FAQ section - most popular FAQ - why does my site have a blank page???

To help yourself:

Please help us help you: have you done this?
Before posting please do a search in the XOOPS top right "Search" box using appropriate "keywords" and find out if the subject has been dealt with before. Also look through the FAQ’s, especially if you're unsure what search words to use.

I couldn’t find any related issues by searching what next?

Turn on debug:
To switch on debug, go to system admin-->preferences and then general settings. You will see a "Debug mode" field. Choose "PHP Debug". Then go to the page that has problems and copy and paste any error messages under php-debug messages in the template below.
When posting any debug messages please 'wrap' the message like this: Use the word 'code' in square brackrets [] and at the end put /code in square brackets.
Debug message here

Give information about your site
Copy the following template into your post and fill-in as much information as possible. The more information you give, the more likely you will receive a quick and effective reply to your post.

Module Name/Version:
PHP Version:
MySQL Version:
Web Server Software (Apache/IIS/Other):

Thanks jensclas,

I did (attempt to) go through the 'why does my site have a blank page' FAQ. I turned the de-bug feature on, but it did not list any errors. It did list 6 queries (no clue what they mean though). Here is what it displayed...

SELECT FROM xoops_config WHERE (conf_modid '0' AND conf_catid '1'ORDER BY conf_order ASC
SELECT sess_data FROM xoops_session WHERE sess_id
'499696a26a005dd0a5f8c3298a6bffbc'
SELECT FROM xoops_users WHERE uid=21
SELECT
FROM xoops_modules WHERE dirname 'system'
SELECT FROM xoops_configcategory
SELECT
FROM xoops_group_permission WHERE (gperm_name 'module_admin' AND gperm_modid '1' AND (gperm_groupid '1'))
Total6 queries

I paid someone to build the site for me but unfortunately that person abandoned the project before it was complete. I really do not understand how to do all the technical stuff (like alot of the stuff described in the FAQ mentioned above). That's why I am offering to pay someone to help me with this. Thanks..

-Brandon

Also, the XOOPS version is 2.0.15

I just clicked on the 2nd de-bug option and now I can't access my site at all! Even the homepage is blank now. It just flashes for a split second then disappears.

This is turning out to be a crappy afternoon ) - :
