Hi people!
Please help me getting rid of the last bug i discovered while testing my XOOPS site in Internet Explorer (with Firefox all ok, strange, uh? :P )

I'm under XOOPS 2.0.13 using the modules News 1.44 for posting news, and SmartSection 1.05 for posting content.

I enabled for both modules the KOIVI editor.

For module News no problem at all; instead, when i try the PREVIEW article on SmartSection, the Koivi Editor Panel goes completely mad, as you can see from these screenshots:

Note that, if i decide to publish the article without previewing it first, everything goes fine.

As you can see from the orange column on the left, all the site menus went down to the bottom of the page, which became miles long (imagine all the Koivi icons one under the other, all of them in a single vertical column...)

I looked for this bug in all the XOOPS support sites i know, but i didn't see anyone who experienced the same problem.

Does anyone have an idea on how to solve it? I would appreciate it so much :)

As far as I know 'preview' doesn't work with koivi, if you hit preview then your post is gone.

As far as i know, preview for me works wonderfully fine for both modules News and SmartSection - the latter only if i use Firefox, but it works.

Anyways, if it was a Koivi editor problem, it would screw up everything also in the News module, but it doesn't.

The messed up preview happens only in SmartSection, while using IE.

(If i was you, i would suggest myself "why not using Firefox then?" but the people who will administrate the site when it will be on production, work in a IE environment, no way i will be able to make them change their habits )

It wouldn't happen to be IE 7??? I noticed a few changes in the presentation of graphics with the move to IE 7 at work...?? But it is so new I don't dare even guess what it might be

I'm using Firefox since eons ago; sometimes i use Opera for certain features, and i fight every day testing my sites on IE, doing separate CSS and so on, not because i'm a masochist, but because willing or not, it's still the most used browser in the whole #OOPS#ing world.

I'm not the one who's happy about it, but you may, some day in your life, step into an office full of people who bought a PC with IE and outlook installed, used them for a few years, and are absolutely not willing to change browser in 20+ desktop workstations just because "firefox is better" or "it's more difficult to program a website while staying compliant to web standards on a piece of junk like IE".

Just in our dreams, at least ;)

@Lava_ , that's why I wrote :"preview does not work".
98% of my users/visitors uses IE, so when something does not work in IE, it's of no use for my sites.

I have no solution for you, maybe you can remove the preview button (if there is no solution), make the width of the editor screen bigger, then you don't need a preview.
