Hi Guys
For the last few days I've been playing around with a XOOPS installation I did on my webserver with Apache 2. Anyway I've designed a site I'd like to try out in the wide world with some people and I'm having some difficulty.
On the server
http://localhost works fine and the site runs like a dream. If I type in my dyndns server address on the server it too returns me to
http://localhost so its looping ok.
But if I try to access the site on my firewall or from further afield we get different problems.
On my firewall my site doesn't load when pointed at my local ip address with a reply along the lines of
http://blah.com/modules/ams connection refused.
When I switched the site off, the site maintenance sign is there with the log in script but of course this doesn't work refusing connection to user.php
So now I am guessing it to be one of 2 things either an apache permission error or a mainfile.php.xoops configuration problem.
I dont think firewall issues will be what the problem is here...
Any ideas guys??
