Hi All...New to the development scene..so wud love your help. I successfully installed XOOPS and can see the XOOPS admin athttp://www.mysite.org/htdocs . I can login and change/edit preferences etc. under the admin.

However when I type the url for my sitehttp://www.mysite.org it still takes me to my earlier "site coming soon" page. My root directory currently has welcome.html page as uploaded by godaddy. What steps should I follow to see my website live using templates as provided by xoops.

1. Should I delete the welcome.html and welcome.html.bak file as uploaded earlier by my host?
2. Is there a file inside htdocs that I need to copy and paste into the root directory.

I would greatly appreciate your help...

Thnx Sam

browsers will normally open the html file, if you haven't added index.php... so try that and if the site is there then just delete the html file in the root..

If I understand this, you have not installed XOOPS in the root directory, but in /htdocs?

If that's the case, move all the files from /htdocs to the root and change mainfile.php, then it should be ok.
