problem uploading image to server

i'm using XOOPS 2.1.14 and i'm having a problem to uploading any images format to the server from admin page (avatar and images) the error message was : ERRORS RETURNED WHILE UPLOADING: INVALID IMAGE FILE...SOMEBODY HELP ME

Hello
i done a fresh installation of 2.0.15
and I got the same problem when uploading images.

i done the chmod and checked the configuration in the admin. the problem still persist.

how do i resolve it?

guessing - you might need to ad case sensitive tags to the list of allowed file types...vaguely recalled a similar problem somewhere and the user added jpg where it had JPG or something similar. Sorry i can't be more definitive than this. Check what you list of allowed file types has in admin prefernces (I think)

I can't seem to upload anything into the server.

i check everything and can't find anywhere I can define the file types.. where is it?

This is my other site where i installed. my other site using 2.0.13.2 is not facing any of this problem.

btw, i also tested with diff file types.

i downloaded the latest XOOPS 2.0.15 and made a FRESh installation. how could this problem have occured?

Unfortunately i can't reach my own site right now to look for where we might look...but I will keep trying (not happy with the host right now )

heh it finally work when i replaced the uploader.php with a version from 2.0.13.1

BUT whyyyyyyyyy does it happen that way?

why was the buggy uploader.php included in the 2.0.15 package?
