Image appering not in colour, distorted

Hi,

i thought i resolved this problem but i havnt.

under the pref panel i changed to imagemagick, gd2 and these worked on thumnails and main but not the middle sized version.

e.g. thumbnail ok, press on link for larger version and its very blue, then click on even larger picture and thats ok,

i have found that NetPBM cant upload the images. the warning or problem page refreshes too quick.


can anyone help me?


did a screen dump, it says "The picture 'xxx/xxx/xxx/xx.jpg' cant be inserted in the album. unable to create thumbnail or reduce size"

this is under netbpm

Which module are you using? On the module admin page, does it say that Imagemagick/netpbm, gd2, etc. are detected?

If possible, use Imagemagick. You might need to delete your pictures and reupload them to have them reconverted.

yeh its got imagemagick etc. im using imagemagik at the mo

its been ok at the mo. however its tempramental! sometimes its ok, sometimes its not.

sometimes you might look and find dodgy images, and sometimes its ok

I 'think' I have resolved this - in XCgallery at least - but in a round about way. I discovered through tiny editro that GD1 library was nit available but GD2 is so I changed that setting in xcgallery and uploaded an image and the thumb came out fine...but more tests are needed.

Well if the server copy of imagemagick isn't ok; do you have the space for the package in your own site for netbpm or imagemagick?
As i do believe they can be installed to your own site as I once tried...

Hmm...I have never really understood all of these options...and i know I saw one of the two of netpbm and imagemagic was available but I didn't know what to put in for the path to it...the GD option is easy by comparison

(Playing with what i don't quite understand yet could spell disaster for my site so i really do take one small step at a time )

Anyway - thanks for the suggestion - if the images become a real problem I may call on you to help me work it out.
