the problem is the site is already up and running. to add it to google successfully i needed to create a sitemap. i found that it would be easier to change it to public_html. i didnt wanna do it straight away because all the files would be out of line (configuration etc)

Currenty i have all my site in the directory '/main'

is it possible to install it on the main directory so it simply reads www.pebble-designs.co.uk/index.php instead of www.pebble-designs.co.uk/main/index.php.

This is because i am having trouble setting up sitemaps which i cant do (newbie ) for some reason, when i do a simulator it just looks at the main instead of the directory

do you understand what i am saying?
any suggestions welcome

thanks people

Thanks for all the links above but i still havnt done it. its so confusing creating a sitemap!

is there an easy way of doing it? all i need is a way of pointing the robots to the '/main' directory. Then i can use a piece of software to create a sitemap.

either that, is there anyone who would look at doing it for me or supplying a template to edit. The google sitemap website is hard to learn the lingo

please help

Hi people,

ive just tried to create a site generator for google. however, i found that it couldnt find all the directories located.

is this because i havnt got it loaded on my main directory. e.g. www.pebble-designs.co.uk/index.php instead of /main/index.php

what do i need to do to make the bots look at the /main directory?
