CBB 3.04 postings since last visit, bug?

When I choose the option to see the postings since last visit, I see all the postings of the forum since the beginning, it's the same as the option 'see all postings'?

Is this a bug, or did I miss something?

I believe this works by setting a cookie (newbb1_lv). Ensure cookies are enabled on your browser. I haven't tried that feature yet though, so it could indeed be a bug!

On CBB 3.04 this can be set in /include/plugin.php

= 1;


So it's set to 'cookie', and my browser accepts cookies from my site, further I'm not the only one, users reported this to me.

when I click the button it displays this in the browser :http://www.alohaspirit.nl/modules/newbb/viewpost.php?new=1
but I still get all the postings.

Hmmn. I will be testing this myself soon. I'll post if I have the same issue or if I can see a solution.

I can't add a moderator to a forum at present (see this post). In my previous version of CBB (1.13) the posts since last visit feature worked fine, as did the moderator allocation.

Have you used a previous version of CBB where everything worked? I may need to go back a version temporarily.

I also have this problem with CBB 3.04, that selecting new posts shows all posts. I posted a question about it to xoopsforge but never got a reply. I also posted here. Anyway, I hope phpbb and team will see this and address the issue. I don't want to downgrade an otherwise excellent module. I also have cookies set on my browser, by the way (Firefox on the Mac).

Out of interest, have you used a previous version of CBB that all worked?. I need to get something up and running and the only other download I have is version 1.13.

No, I went straight for CBB 3.0x and XOOPS 2.2.4 on my forum site

I also tried this now with the option in config.php set to 2 (database) but I still don't get the posts since last visit but all the posts since the beginning of the forum.

I'm using XOOPS 2.2.4 and cbb 3.04

Still got no answer on cbb nor here, so ..... bump
