I've got mixed feelings on this one. IE is definately the bain of my existance as I spend almost 50% of my design time making up for IEs lack of compliance. Yet IE users still make up a significant number of my visitors (roughly 50%) and therefore, I'm hesitant to "nudge" them into changing browsers.
Some users are simply happy in their ignorance. Still others know enough about system administration to properly secure IE. Yes, IE can be secure too if you know what you're doing.
The five biggest advantages Firefox offers over IE are...
1. Respect for standards
2. Extentions
3. Better security by default (this gap is lessened with XP SP2)
4. Tabbed browsing
5. Open Source architecture
Don't get me wrong, I'm a die hard Firefox user, but as a webmaster, I'm hesitant to "force" my views on my visitors.
It's still a darn funny site though!
Best Regards,
James
Insanity can be defined as "doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."
Stupidity is not a crime. Therefore, you are free to go.
