I've got mixed feelings on this one. IE is definately the bain of my existance as I spend almost 50% of my design time making up for IEs lack of compliance. Yet IE users still make up a significant number of my visitors (roughly 50%) and therefore, I'm hesitant to "nudge" them into changing browsers.

Some users are simply happy in their ignorance. Still others know enough about system administration to properly secure IE. Yes, IE can be secure too if you know what you're doing.

The five biggest advantages Firefox offers over IE are...

1. Respect for standards
2. Extentions
3. Better security by default (this gap is lessened with XP SP2)
4. Tabbed browsing
5. Open Source architecture

Don't get me wrong, I'm a die hard Firefox user, but as a webmaster, I'm hesitant to "force" my views on my visitors.

It's still a darn funny site though!

Best Regards,

James

i'm not an enthusiastic admirer of firefox. i'm happy to see the competition of ie and ff. i choose the most convenient tools for me , so i use maxthon and ff with many useful extensions on windows platform.

IE7 will have more improvement for standards compliance. it will support tabbed browsing and extensions from 3rd parties.

comparing to ie, ff is hard to use withour extensions now, and ff is slow and take more resource.

ff still has a long way to go,
