Hi,
Suppose you have many user groups, ie:

-webmaster
-moderators
-registered users
-special users
-anonymous users
-veteran users

How i can move ALL the registered users group to veteran users group

without touch the moderators and special users groups?

----

In previous XOOPS versions, you can remove users from groups and convert to anonymous group,
In the current XOOPS version 2.0.13.2 you delete users from groups but these users not go to anonymous group they not have group and are imposible to identify.

I only want move 5000 users from registered users group to a custom group.

any idea?
thanks in advance, best regards
javier

I think you just have to add the members to the group.

Go to groups admin and select the "veterans" group and scroll below to add/remove members.

In previous versions of XOOPS that was posible because you had 2 windows side by side, and you removed users from one to other, and was very easy move users from a group to a anonymous and after that from anonymous to any group.
In the current version you only have "find members for this group" and "delete member" and only 1 window.

If you hit the delete member button you convert the users to a user without group.
But after that you have not a way to identify these users without group, because not appear in anonymous group or in any place.

"Find members fo this group" would be great if search by group, but it only search by name, mail, post, etc.
I not see a valid way to move 5000 members from a group to other

For 5000 members, it's probably easiest to run a little sql query in the database, to change all 'group 3' to 'group 4' or whatever the corresponding numbers are.

Hi, i spended a lot of time but i made in this way:

In the new group i used "find members for this group" feature and move ALL the members to the special group, after that i edited every one of the moderators members (because they had 2 groups after the change , registered users and moderator group)

After that i use the "delete member" feature for remove all the users from the "registered users group"

Now i only have a little problem: (check the image)
The registered users groups are empty however i see 1,2,3,4 pages in the upper part

I check the groups_users_links tables where the groupid 2 correspond to the registered users group
But i check all the uid in groupid 2 and are not existent users.

This is a XOOPS bugs? i mean, these corrupt data is from deleted users accounts?

sorry for my terrible english,
best regards
javier

when a new user register a account appear in the page 4,
i though if somebody registered a account the bug of the 4 pages would be solved but no.

I must care about?
