Hi...I read one of the other posts on here where you could redirect your homepage to be /modules/forums ... but I was wondering if there was a way to just embed the actual forum on the homepage...

I'd like the main page.. http://www.mydomain.com to come up with my XOOPS home page...possibly with a small amount of content at the top ... a featured article on the site or something...then have the forums directly below that.

I was just wondering if there was a way to do this..if not..I'll rethink my layout.

Instead of imbedding the forum on your homepage, why not just go into the Blocks section of your admin page and set one of the forum's blocks to appear on the homepage? You could use the "Recent Posts" block, for example. Lot easier.

Yeah I saw where you could do that in the left panel....I'd rather have the actual forum there...but I may settle for that if I can't do it :)

Oh..also...how do I get a right panel on the site...do I have to find a theme with one?

well what you can do is set your forum to be your start page module in you main preferences section of admin the put blocks above that for any other content you want
