Users can't register with no reason!

Hi,
I have abour 1500 users and now from a moment to another just some users can register on the site, many others have e-mailed me and they have no firewall and cookies are on, so what can it be?
I noticed that i dont have firewall either and my cookies are on and i cant register on my own site, what can i do?
I've searched some topics on the forum but nothing helped me, so i hope you guys can. Btw the way i user version 2.0.13.2.

I've had that happen in the past also... I think all I did was go to Admin and reload the systems modules.

don't know if u have the same problem i had a few weeks ago.. i still not sure how/why it happened on mine.

but here's how i fixed it for me.

goto phpmyadmin, and then view the structure of the xoops_users table

check that the table column for timezone_offset is correct..

when this problem suddenly occured on my site, after much hair pulling i discovered that the field: timezone_offset was incorrect, it was named as timezon_eoffset instead of timezone_offset..

corrrecting this fixed the problem in my case..

I have that correct on xoops_users so the problem is not that, i've remembered now that a few days ago i have put i have changed the XOOPS prefix to mysite prefix, because the protector module told me to, but in the database i still have both prefix's so that shoulnt be a problem, any other idea of how to solve this?

what do you mean by this?

both prefixes??

also can you turn off XOOPS protector and check if the problem exists then?

when u change prefix, you should change every tables prefix. and also the prefix in mainfile.php

define('XOOPS_DB_PREFIX', 'xoops');

also clear templates_c and cache folders.

I've done all of that and the problem remains, what more can i do?

turn MySQL debug on in admin..

stay logged in. and navigate tohttp://www.yourdomain.com/register.php

go thru the reg process and on submitting etc check if any errors occur in the mysql.. altho i'm not sure this method will work for the registration process.

Well now the registry gone ok and no MySQL error occurred, why that happened when im logged in, what does it means?
