Hello everybody!

I sell books. I have around 12,000 titles from a lot of authors. I would like to know what is the best module in your experience for that author's biographies management.

I think that news could be a good one but im already using it for articles management. Caould I clone it successfully without making conflict with its "brother"? Is there a better choice thar cloning?

biography for an author would be a nice addition to any of our article/news modules.

I hope that somebody can help me. Im testing the profiles module but I found that it is not compatible withe the XOOPS search.

Is there another module that could be able to manage author / artists biographies that can be enabled with the XOOPS search?

I have a web page that sells books and music and Id like to be able to manage the authors biographies and link them to my store.

Thanks.

Sorry about the link to the profiles module - forgot that guy makes half-baked products.

Why not try an articles module like Articles or SmartSection? Use one of them to write up the bios and create links to the products. You could also use them to create categories like A-C, D-F, or by genre. Not the ideal way to go about it, but it should work.

Im sorry but I cant post it because I have it installed on a test site in my own computer but as I said, I nned a module that is able to manage Biographies of autors. But is very important for it to be compatible with XOOPS search.

This far Im using xOSC, Articles, Profiles and Marquee as modules but as I said Profiles is not search compatible.

The only functionalities it needs are: To be able to manage (search, upload, modify, delete, search, etc) The biographies have to be html compatible so the can contain images, links, font formats, etc.
