I confused again!

Call me silly if you want but what the heck is XOOPS v 2.30?

I am running 2.2.4.

I went to read up on the new CBB v 2.30 release and it says it is also for XOOPS 2.30. So I thinks well I musta missed something...

I went to the latest XOOPS releases and there is NO XOOPS v 2.30 listed there.

Xoops 2.3 is a beta release - and by using the Search engine, it will give you the url of: devteam.xoops.org for more details.

CBB 3 is a new release of the module.

It's not even that, 2.3 is in the Aplha 1 stage, so using it is only for developers who want to see how the new code is written. A lot of parts are unfinished, and still in active development.

What *has* been added is rather revolutionary tho

But since it's an alpha release, there's not much use in telling everyone about what has been added, because it's not finished.

I downloaded 2.3 and installed it. It looks pretty much like 2.0.13, with some extra directories that aren't used for anything.

Did I miss something?

Ha Ha Ha!

If this was meant to be funny or otherwise. It was, thanks for the chuckle...

If not, then I thinks what he means is-since it is in Alpha the developement team is working hard and diligently to produce a XOOPS version which breaks the barriers of other previously released versions. And that the folders/directories at this time which seem to have no function don't at this time because they are still working on the developement of the new version.

Exactly... the empty folders are filling up, and the svn updates are certainly bewildering to a none-php coder like myself - but seem very good indeed.
