tinyeditor, kiovi, spaw, xoopseditor...I am really confused

Hi Guys
My site is all about images and articles. I have the images under control with Xcgallery. But the articles???

I once wrote a heap of articles for hosting elsewhwere. I have saved them all. Now I want to get them up on my own site.
I want to improve on the current editing interface I have when I put in articles. I have xoops2.0.13, spaw 1.3 is in my modules but I don't know what it is. I am guesing it is the standard editing I am getting in News and Magazine.

Tiny Editor .05 I have just installed hoping to have some wonderful new functions but I can't figure out the changes needed as suggested in the documentation and on the discussions of this editor as I get very lost in the lingo and can't always for the life of me find the right file and line to make changes to. I am still a real newbie when it comes to making editing changes in files and need to be held by the hand and led very carefully through such steps. I do do research. Then I read stuff that talks about kiovi and i am clueless completely. What in the world is FKC editor? Just another to ad to my confusion. Are they all part of the same thing or are they all seperate entities we can choose to use or not???

Rb's Magazine module is giving me some grief anyway because I can't figure out how to make it look right. If I don't get help on that soon I will need to vhange to something where I will bet help if I need it. Perhaps this module is just too hard for me.

So...you wonderful xoopsers out there...what advice do you have for me? I am listening (reading!)

FCK Editor and Koivi are different. From my personal experience with XOOPS 2.0.13.2, I usually install Koivi for the latest News module version to use it. I use alot the module Content 0.5 and it works with the FCK Editor.

2 differences I have been able to distinguish in between the two which has helped me alot when there are special requirements, is that I have seen that Koivi can FULL JUSTIFY the paragraphs making all the lines even, while FCK does not have this option; second, with Koivi to add images you have to put the image URL or call them from the image manager, instead with FCK you can upload the images directly to the server by browsing your pc and selecting the image, all this from the wysiwyg editor, you don't have to jump back to the imagemanager upload the picture then jump back to your editor.

Those are just two small tips which I am nost sure will be of help to you right now, but are always good to know.

Thanks - That is a helpful start!

I have just uninstalled magazine, put in WF section and now have a lovely editor to use (but I couldn't tell you which one it is!) so I am on a roll and putting up my articles.

That being said...I still think we need to clarify all of these editors and what they do.

Cheers
