Hi,

Which program is best for designing professional banners?
I want to make an intropage like www.antiquorum.com .
Nice colors, nice design and fully working in XOOPS.

Yeah but howto mix pictures, howto make a gif or png instead of the format photoshop uses etc etc driving me crazy by now that I don't find any good software with easy userinterface, no #OOPS# just the things one needs to design.

Once you make your intro picture in Photoshop you just Save As or Export the picture you made(depending on which version you are using). Choose the format you wish to save the picture as or Export it as, the location to save it and it will save it the way you wanted it. When saving a gif needing a transparent background you may have to take an extra step before saving the file. Look that up in the Photoshop help file.

I love Photoshop, but I can also recommend Macromedia Fireworks for web banners. It can export artwork as a static or animated GIF with precision control over the indexed colour palette. This means you can remove colours from the palette one by one to reduce the filesize. Easiest for setting GIF transparency too, IMHO.
A thread is for life. Not just for Christmas.
