hi. sometimes my site experiences high traffic and i have made it possible so that only certain groups of people can enter my site during times of increased traffic.

i would like to install a banner on the page that pops up when your site is turned off.

ex: when you go to a site that has been shut off, usually there is a disclaimer as to why the site is down and then there is a login section either for admins or other special users.

i want to place a banner on that page.

can someone direct me to the appropriate file please.

You need to go to your admin>>templates area and edit the file called system_siteclosed.html

Be sure to have site template updates turned on in your main admin index to see the changes you make. You can also only do this on template files that have been cloned, not the default template. If you are only using one template set, select or click on "clone", edit the system_siteclosed.html file, go to your main admin and change the default template set used to the one you named during the cloning process.
