Debaser Error

Hi,

I have debaser v.92 running on my site http://www.ghanamusic.com but I cant create categories neither can I upload any file.

I have tried uninstalling and re in-stallation but the problem still occurs.

Could somebody pls help me out?

Make sure you have an upload & a batchload folder in the debaser folder. They didn't get uploaded the first time I used this module. It was driving me crazy. Also make sure that they are chmod to 777, if I'm correct.

You may have to check your permissions to create categories.

Not creating categories has nothing to do with missing folders.

@abbey: please enable the various debug-modes and test the module again. Normally errors will be shown.

a) what is your XOOPS-Version?
b) what is your PHP-Version?

I must confess that this module is not tested with XOOPS 2.2.2 or PHP5.

the XOOPS is 2.0.9.3 and php is 4.3.11. pls let me know is this will not work with the debaser.

Did I say that his possibly missing folders had anything to do with not being able to create categories?

If you read the post properly, you would have noticed that two problems were mentioned.

1. he couldn't assign categories
2. he couldn't upload files.

I did not know that you need permissions to create categories. I know you said "may". But this will take us nowhere. I heard about so many problems about my module, but not being unable to create CATEGORIES.

Without any debug-information I am not able to give any help...

So you're the creator of this module! I have to say I honestly love it. It's versatile and has come in handy on quite a few sites that I've put up. I don't know about anyone else, but most of the problems I've experienced with it were problems that I created myself or server-side issues.

So far, it works well for me using XOOPS 2.2, 2.2.1 & 2.2.2.

Good to know. Saves me some testing for the next version.

BTW I know now why abbey had problems creating categories. In version 0.92 I thought I would be nice if the admin-side of the module is based on templates. But if templates_c has no write-access (like in abbey's case) you won't get there.

Hi,

A few questions:

Do you have similar problems with other modules?
What server are you using?
Do you have MOD-SECURITY running?

I have something similar with AMS 2.41, News 1.3+ and some others because of bad configuration in MOD-SECURITY.
