Will the old language files work with 2.2.1?

Hi,

Basically, the heading of this post says it all.. will I have to wait for the language packs to be updated until I may have a purely Swedish site?

yes, you will have to wait or do it yourself. The changes to the language files are listed here in the dev.xoops.org wiki.
